Hotel Courtyard

A Courtyard Shaped by Stone, Light, and Landscape Hotel Courtyard is conceived as a sequence of intimate guest spaces rooted in the material character of Jordan. Pale limestone walls, deep arched passages, dark timber doors, and finely detailed metalwork establish an atmosphere that feels both enduring and welcoming. The courtyard architecture is organized around shade, framed views, and moments of transition. Mature tree canopies filter the sunlight across stone façades, while balconies and covered walkways create visual connection between levels. The arches soften the geometry of the building and turn circulation into a measured experience of enclosure and release. Landscape elements are integrated into the architecture rather than treated as decoration. Sculpted trees, climbing plants, layered groundcover, and the surrounding pine canopy bring depth and seasonality to the stone setting. Steps and bridges guide guests through changes in level, with concealed lighting giving the garden a calm evening presence. Inside, the hospitality lounge continues the same warm palette. A timber-lined ceiling, soft upholstered seating, sheer curtains, textured stone, dark metal, and carefully layered lighting create a composed environment for conversation and rest. The restrained furnishings allow craftsmanship and material texture to lead. A sculptural metal installation set against illuminated stone becomes a memorable detail within the guest journey. Its vertical rhythm echoes the surrounding railings and joinery, connecting art, architecture, and lighting through a shared language. Together, the courtyard, landscape, interior, and crafted details create a hospitality experience suited to the Dead Sea—a place defined by shelter, warmth, natural materials, and quiet connection to its setting.

Design focus: create an intimate hospitality identity across changing levels, shaded exterior passages, mature landscape, guest interiors, and architectural details while maintaining a coherent material language.

Editorial design response: regional stone and repeated arches unify the courtyard; mature planting softens the architecture; steps, bridges, and framed openings guide movement; and concealed lighting carries the guest experience from daylight into evening.
